1. Who runs the site

"There Is An AI Tool" (the "Site") is operated at thereisanaitool.com. References to "we," "us," and "our" mean the team running it. References to "you" mean the person using the Site.

2. Accepting these terms

By using the Site, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use the Site. If you're under 16, please use the Site with a parent or guardian.

3. What you can do

You can:

• Read all our articles, reviews, and explainers for personal, educational, or commercial reference.
• Use our free in-house tools (AI Humanizer, AI Text Detector, Prompt Improver, AI Cost Calculator) within the rate limits shown on each tool.
• Subscribe to our newsletter and unsubscribe at any time.
• Link to any of our pages.
• Quote our articles with attribution and a link to the source.

4. What you can't do

• Scrape or republish our content at scale — bulk downloads, mirror sites, or feeding our articles to train your own AI model is not permitted.
• Abuse the free tools — no automation, no spam content, no illegal text (CSAM, threats, doxing), no high-volume querying that overloads our infra.
• Reverse-engineer or extract our backend tooling, API keys, or proprietary logic.
• Impersonate us or pretend our content is your own.
• Run ads or surveillance on top of our content via wrapper pages, frames, or embeds.

5. Our free tools — important caveats

We offer four free in-house tools: the AI Humanizer, AI Text Detector, Prompt Improver, and AI Cost Calculator. They're provided "as-is" with the following caveats:

• AI Humanizer: rewrites text to sound human. Results vary by input. Don't use it to deceive (e.g., bypass academic-integrity policies you're bound by).
• AI Text Detector: estimates how likely text was AI-generated. Free detectors are roughly 50-65% accurate (see published research). We say so on the page. Don't use the result as definitive proof — it's a hint, not a verdict.
• Prompt Improver: rewrites prompts to be more effective. Outputs are suggestions, not guarantees.
• AI Cost Calculator: runs entirely in your browser; pricing data is updated periodically. Verify against the AI provider's own pricing page before financial decisions.

All four tools send the text you submit to a third-party AI provider (Google Gemini, Groq) to generate a response. We don't store your submissions, but the AI provider may temporarily process them — see our Privacy Policy for details.

6. Reviews and recommendations

We review AI tools independently. Our editorial standards are public on the About page. We sometimes use affiliate links — that means if you click through and sign up, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. Affiliate relationships do not influence whether or how we cover a tool; we apply the same criteria across the board. We disclose affiliate links in the site footer and on tool detail pages.

7. Content is for information, not advice

Our articles cover AI, technology, careers, business, and related topics. Nothing on the Site is professional legal, financial, medical, tax, or career advice tailored to your situation. Verify with a qualified professional before making important decisions based on what you read here.

8. Intellectual property

All content on the Site — articles, reviews, in-house tools, code, design, logos — is our property or used with permission, except where otherwise noted. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, revocable licence to read, print, and reference our content for non-commercial or commercial reference use. We retain all other rights.

Logos of AI tools shown on the directory are property of their respective owners and used under fair-use / Brandfetch-compliant terms for editorial purposes.

9. User submissions

If you email us, submit feedback, or send us a tool suggestion, you grant us a non-exclusive licence to use that content (e.g., quote feedback, add the tool to the directory) without compensation. Don't send us anything you wouldn't want public.

10. Third-party links

The Site links to many third-party tools and websites. We don't control those sites. We're not responsible for their content, policies, or practices. Visit them at your own discretion.

11. Disclaimers

The Site and free tools are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind — express or implied — including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or uninterrupted availability. AI outputs are probabilistic; they can be wrong. Verify before you rely on them.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including lost profits, lost data, business interruption, or reputational harm — arising from your use of the Site or our tools. Our total liability for any claim related to the Site is limited to £100 (or the equivalent in your currency).

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms as the Site evolves. The "Last updated" date at the top tells you when. Material changes will be highlighted in the newsletter if you're subscribed. Continued use of the Site after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

14. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the free tools at any time if we believe you've violated these Terms — for example, by automating tool requests, submitting illegal content, or trying to scrape the site at scale.

15. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of England and Wales, unless local consumer-protection law requires otherwise in your country.
